When you ask for mercy – what could you be asking for?
Daniel 1:17-19 17 Then Daniel went home and told his friends Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah what had happened. 18 He urged them to ask the God of heaven to show them his mercy by telling them the secret, so they would not be executed along with the other wise men of Babylon. 19 That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven.
In this well known saga of life and death with Daniel, his friends and colleagues facing this incredibly powerful King – we see an unusual prayer point, many times we don’t connect the two sides of this concept
Daniel urged them to ask the God of heaven to show them his mercy by telling them the secret, so they would not be executed along with the other wise men of Babylon.
Mercy has so many aspects that can impact our everyday life business and family and on this case it’s a revealing of a secret & an interpretation – an edge to succeed and make an impact.
Can we expand our expectation of mercy because our God is so good!
